Devotional Day 12:

Hints of spring


“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

Galatians 6:9


It’s still winter.

The trees are still bare.

The mornings are still cold.

And yet every now and then a warm day appears.

Sunlight lingers a little longer.

The air softens.

You step outside and feel a quiet reminder that change is coming.

Not here yet.

But coming.

Life has seasons like that too.

There are times when you are still walking through winter,

still waiting, still praying, still trusting,

but God gives you small glimpses of hope along the way.

A moment of peace you didn’t expect.

A prayer partially answered.

A reminder that He hasn’t forgotten you.

These are hints of spring.

They don’t mean the season has fully changed yet.

They mean God is preparing your heart for what’s ahead.

We often want immediate blooming.

We want clear answers, quick breakthroughs, visible growth.

But God often sends encouragement before transformation.

A warm day in winter doesn’t rush the season,

it reassures us that winter isn’t forever.

If you are in a waiting season today,

don’t overlook the small signs of grace around you.

The strength you didn’t have before.

The peace showing up more often.

The way your faith feels steadier than it once did.

These are evidence that God is working beneath the surface.

Spring always comes in His timing.

Until then, let the small moments of warmth remind you:

Hope is already on its way.


Prayer

Lord,

Thank You for the reminders of hope you place in my life,

even when I am walking through winter seasons.

When waiting feels long and answers seem slow,

help me trust that you are still working beneath the surface.

Open my eyes to the small moments of warmth and grace

that remind me you are near.

Strengthen my faith when I grow weary,

and teach my heart to rest in your perfect timing.

Help me hold onto hope,

knowing that every season has purpose

and everything will come exactly when you say it will.

Until then, help me trust You more each day.
