Day 5: When faith feels queit
“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him.”
Psalm 37:7
There are seasons when faith feels loud.
When prayers feel powerful.
When worship stirs something deep inside.
When God’s presence feels undeniable. When prayers are answered.
And then there are seasons when faith feels quiet.
The prayers feel routine.
The answers feel delayed.
God feels distant, even though you’re still showing up.
Perhaps you can look back on your life and see the times that you prayed
for the things that you have now. Maybe it took years for those prayers to be answered.
In those years maybe those prayers felt quiet but you consistently showed up and so did God
even when things felt silent.
Quiet faith does not mean weak faith.
Some seasons are not about hearing God clearly,
but about trusting Him deeply.
God is still working even when you can’t feel Him.
Still listening even when the answers don’t come quickly.
Still present even when the silence feels heavy.
Silence is not absence.
The quiet does not mean you are forgotten.
Faith that remains during the silence
is often the faith that grows the strongest.
So keep praying.
Keep trusting.
Keep showing up.
God is closer than you think.
Prayer
Lord, when my faith feels quiet, help me trust You anyway. Remind me that silence does not mean You are gone. Teach me to lean on truth instead of feelings and to remain faithful even in the quiet. Amen.
