Day 15:
God uses imperfect people
“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.”
2 Corinthians 12:9
Sometimes we believe the lie that we have to have everything together before God can use us.
We think we need to be stronger.
More patient.
More faithful.
More confident.
We look at our flaws, our mistakes, our past, and quietly wonder if we’ve disqualified ourselves.
But when you look through Scripture, you see a very different pattern.
God rarely chooses the person who feels the most qualified.
Moses said he wasn’t a good speaker.
David was the overlooked shepherd boy.
Esther was an orphan.
Peter was impulsive and made huge mistakes.
Paul had a past he could never erase.
Yet God used every one of them.
Not because they were perfect
but because they were willing.
God has never been looking for perfection.
He’s looking for surrendered hearts.
Your weaknesses do not scare Him.
Your past does not surprise Him.
Your imperfections do not disqualify you.
In fact, sometimes the very places you feel the weakest
are the places where God’s power shines the brightest.
You don’t have to wait until you feel ready.
You don’t have to fix every flaw before stepping forward.
God already knew every part of your story
when He called you.
And He still chose you.
Prayer
Lord,
Sometimes I feel inadequate and unsure of myself.
I see my weaknesses and wonder if I am capable of what You have called me to do.
Help me remember that your strength is greater than my limitations.
Remind me that you are not looking for perfection,
but for a willing heart.
Use my life, even in my imperfections,
to reflect Your grace and your goodness.
Teach me to trust that you can work through me,
exactly as I am.
Amen.
